With the set of woodblock type I created, I letterpress printed this Modieval Letterpress Specimen ( 2017 / 6 · letterpress / typography ) using a precision proofing press. ( ↑ back to top )


I created three compositions of London ( 2017 / 6 · risography ) illustrating my time in the city using print paraphernalia I've gathered from various events and activities, and through the method of improvisation so beautifully possible only with Risography. ( ↑ back to top )


#Dhmmpda ( 2017 / 6 · letterpress / typography ) is a reinterpretation of two verses of Buddhist scripture from the Dhammapada realised in two pairs of letterpress posters that act as open spreads. ( ↑ back to top )


Modieval ( 2017 / 5 · modular type / type design ) is a modern-day boldface blackletter revival that stresses the rhythmic doggedness, hefty contrast and angularity of fraktur scripts through the constraints of a modular substructure. ~ Documentation In Progress ~. ( ↑ back to top )


Species Of Spaces: Topo Map ( 2017 / 3 · typography ) is a typographic response to the 1974 essay ‘Species of Spaces’ by Georges Perec. His obsessive observation and self-referential links between occupying physical space and space on the page made it apt for me to reinterpret his essay as a topographic map of words. With the Brutalist Biannual ( 2016 / 12 · editorial / typography ), I exploited the dense, content-heavy graphic language of newspapers to emphasise the aesthetic regularity and stoic elegance of the Barbican Estate in the City of London. ( ↑ back to top )


I was commissioned by SUPERMAMA to design ‹ Fú 福 Shòu 壽 Xǐ 囍 › Plates ( 2015 / 1 · chinese lettering / product design ), a 3-piece series suitable for gifting to family. The plates had to embody the ideals of filial piety, warmth and love, and look clean, elegant and relevant. ( ↑ back to top )


Presenting synergy between content, function and form is what steers me throughout the creative process, and is what makes dynamic the static page. My work is mainly concerned with devising ways to achieve this goal through content-driven editorial solutions and infographics for large bodies of content, and through the use of typography as structure, message, image and texture.
